Having been to so many agencies and answered so many ads (since Nov 06), I was beginning to think that a permanent role in my locality was a pipe dream for someone who is over 45 years old. 

The best thing I did is discover Annemarie's website and I had bought the book "Ace the Interview", then had various email communications as well as a one hour phone tutorial. 

Her advice was invaluable.  I learnt what to say and what not to say and how to answer the proverbial "what salary are you after ?" question.  As well as other questions that can make it or break it if not answered in the right way.  Don't get me wrong, I did work in a temporary capacity for one year, but that was just a fill in - what I was after was a permanent role.  Thank you very much Annemarie.  I am a fan !!!

Since we last spoke, I’ve had a total of 3 interviews after submitting to four different job positions in the ACT. Of the 3 interviews one is now in the advanced stages (Solutions Architect with [name omitted for privacy]), I have the third and final interview tomorrow.
